Consultant Physician & Critical Care Medicine Specialist
A Consultant Physician and Critical Care Medicine Expert trained in prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai under the stalwarts and pioneers of critical care medicine in India. After completing MD in Anesthesiology, I specialized in Critical Care Medicine form Tata Memorial Hospital and Fortis Hospital Mulund in 2017.
Worked as Senior Clinical Intensive Care fellow at Glenfield Hospital (ECMO center in the United Kingdom) and Leicester Royal Infirmary (University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, United Kingdom) for 2 years during the Coronavirus pandemic and trained in advanced management of severe respiratory failure and lung diseases. I also achieved proficiency in providing artificial lung and heart support/ECMO(Extracorporeal membrane).
In the journey of becoming Critical Care Specialist, I had opportunities to work as Consultant in Critical Care where I gained an immense experience in the management of Onco-emergencies/Post Solid Organ Transplant /Post Bone Marrow Transplant patients) at various super-specialty hospitals in Mumbai and Nagpur. My Vision is to provide quality and ethical care to critically ill patients.
Special Interests and skills:
- Management of acute respiratory failure, advanced ventilation with various modes, prone position ventilation and ECMO.
- Management of septic shock, cardiogenic shock and multi-organ dysfunction.
- Management of acute complications of diabetes mellitus, poisoning/drug overdose.
- Quality improvement projects and Anti-microbial stewardship, safe clinical practices, nursing and junior doctors training.
- Expertise in the insertion of invasive lines (landmark technique and ultrasound guidance), PA catheters, pacing, percutaneous tracheostomy, flexible fibre-optic bronchoscopy, difficult airway management, intercostal drain insertion, focused intensive care echocardiography and lung ultrasound, transport of critically ill patients, etc.
